Ashville write-in Nov 2014

It’s Time to Tell: I have a lot of projects ongoing now, and am finding it difficult to keep to my plan of two weekly blogs. Inspirational community can keep the pen to the paper, or in this case, fingers to the keys! I stumbled into this Write-In in Asheville, North Carolina. What a great idea! Writers showed up, bought coffee, and began writing on their latest projects.

There are many Writers Meet-Ups – my guess is in any city, but I know of lots in Nashville. We meet and share our work, getting a bit of friendly feedback too. There’s some networking going on, but the pure joy is hearing what other people are creating.

Serious writers with a large project may gather a reading group of Readers – people also committed to you and your project, to bounce ideas with, to advise, people who are honest and skilled. Lucky when you find that!

Are you in a writing group? Jan was in one for 20 years, meeting a people’s homes, people who became friends. Jan Robinson’s first published book, The Sky’s the Limit: Adventures of McGee the Cat, is a true story about her adopted kitten. She credits her group with keeping her pencil sharp!

‘Til next blog, who knows when? Or ‘til your next comment…Happy writing!
